In the spring term the children visited London Zoo where they looked at African animals in connection with their topic about Africa.

During the summer term Year 2 visited Gunnersbury Park where they took part in role play and became servants in an authentic Victorian household .They also had a picnic on the lawn at school, having taken part in our annual Victorian school-day which began with drill and included writing on slates and copybooks !

The year culminated in a delightful concert ‘The Pied Piper’ which was a great success. The children had worked really hard and deserve to be congratulated on the production. We learned a great deal about ‘never breaking a promise’ and all feel quite exhausted when we look back at our achievements!
