2009 Magazine Report – Year 7 Team Building
|
Teambuilding Day and the Year 7 Sleepover took place at the start and the end of the academic year. The sessions are designed to help pupils get to know each other and develop an identity as a year group, whilst taking part in lots of problem solving activities. Girls werere encouraged to work together as a team, communicate, value each others ideas and of course to have a great time!! One of the most popular activities was the Raft Building which required the group to build a raft from logs, ropes and floats. Once they werere completed the groups had to launch their vessels and race them across the lake.

The Sleepover took place in the marquee in the Lower School garden. The girls enjoyed lots of activities which required them to work well together. Bin Bag dress designing was definitely the most popular event of the evening – along with the Hot Chocolate and marshmallows before tucking down into their sleeping bags!
