World Maths Day

3rd March 2010

This year, Years 6 and 7 represented Putney Park in World Maths Day.

Launched in 2007, World Maths Day is designed to encourage school and student participation in a fun and engaging online Maths event. With the power of the internet, school students around the globe compete in live games of mental arithmetic at the press of a button!

Each game lasts for 60 seconds and students can play up to 500 games, earning points for each correct answer. The students who answer the most questions correctly appear in the ‘Hall of Fame!’ Having now successfully trialled this fantastic initiative, next year the pupils will be entered on an individual basis.

We hope the girls will look forward to competing with their contemporaries from all over the world!
