A number of after school sports and cultural clubs are offered to pupils in Years 1 to 5 each term.  These include: swimming coaching, football, playball, art club, knitting, chess and choir.  From Year 1 pupils are offered private lessons in violin, piano, recorder, flute and guitar.  These are offered during the school day.  Girls and boys from Reception have the option to learn ballet. 

Each year a number of special focus weeks are planned.  In the past these have included Book Week, Science Week, Arts Week and Maths Week.  During these class teachers plan a variety of creative hands-on learning activities designed to inspire learning.  Special assemblies bring the whole Lower School together each morning and outside experts are invited to run workshops for the pupils.
